Dogs and cats rescued from Mariana and Barra Longa are waiting for a new home. There are 2 dogs and 2 cats that rely on a special adoption, and other 54 healthy, vaccinated and wormed animals still waiting to be adopted. To see the animals, access the site www.amigomudatudo.com.br.
Those who are interested in adopting these pets may call (31) 3559-5425 and schedule a visit to the animal shelter (CRA I). For adoption, bring your official identity containing a photo, proof of residence and take an interview. After your evaluation, you will sign an agreement by which you agree to receive, at your home, the visit of a vet hired by Samarco, who will accompany the pet’s adaptation for a six month period.
So far, 83 dogs and 9 cats have found a new home. They were adopted on 9-10 April, during the event organized by the Company, with the support of the Mariana Town Hall, the Extraordinary Commission for Animal Protection of the State Legislature of Minas Gerais, and animal protection NGOs.
In alignment with the Preliminary Term of Commitment signed with the Public Prosecution Service, and seeking to ensure the quality of life of these animals, Samarco has been carrying out a series of actions such as seeking out their owners when possible, as well as offering full veterinary care.
