Starting next week, 100 health services agents contracted by Samarco will start visiting homes in Governador Valadares to carry out preventive actions in the community. The professionals will instruct the population about the prevention of endemic diseases, such as dengue and leishmaniasis.
It is important for the community to keep an eye on and eliminate potential foci of the mosquito Aedes aegypti. The homes will be visited over the next 30 days. The agents will wear a distinctive uniform and will introduce themselves to the residents before starting their inspection.
All of the agents are from Governador Valadares and surrounding areas, and were selected by the local city administration.
