Some 20 students from the Municipal School Gustavo Capanema have gone back to school since Wednesday, November 18th, in Gesteira, a district of Barra Longa. The children, aged 5-9, received a school kit from Samarco. The Company also supplied the necessary teaching material for the teachers. The classes are being held at the day care center Pequeno Principe.
Until the end of this school year, the students will have the same teacher and the same classmates, to promote a better adjustment of both students and teachers. In addition, the Company is already analyzing the renovation or construction of a new school for the Gesteira students so it can be ready for the beginning of the coming school year.
