Several measures are being taken to ensure the water supply of cities near to the Doce River in Espirito Santo state. In Baixo Guandu, the SAAE and the City Council, with the support of Samarco, completed the installation of three lines of adduction in Guandu River, to ensure that the potable water supply will not be interrupted. In Colatina, the water supply is being done with the help of water tank trucks. Until November 20th, about 50.9 million liters of water were delivered to the population.
It is also being made the distribution of mineral water in 16 points of the city, with the support of Civil Defense, the Army and Military Police.
