On Monday, November 23rd, 100 primary school children from Escola Municipal José de Vasconcelos in Barra Longa went back to school. The new space, rented by Samarco, was renovated and equipped with the material needed by the teachers and students. The children also received kits with backpacks, pencils, color pencils, pens, play dough and other school supplies.
It is important to remember that, last Thursday, November 19th, some 300 students from Cláudio Manoel, Campinas, Pedras and Borba, districts and subdistricts of Mariana, also resumed classes. For the children and teenagers lodged in Mariana, Samarco is offering school transportation. On that same day, another 20 students of the districts of Gesteira and Bonito went back to school, with the support of the Company in the preparation of the classrooms and the supply of teaching material.
