Samarco informs that, as the court order to freeze its bank accounts filed by the Public Prosecutor Office of Minas Gerais in Mariana and authorized by the court of that city was maintained, Samarco has requested an extension of the deadline to make the deposit pertaining to the Letter of Commitment entered into with the Public Prosecutor Office of Mariana and the Federal Prosecution Office. As with the deposit, the company will not be able to comply with financial commitments to its employees and suppliers. Samarco informs that it has already requested release to the court of Mariana and continues to take all the applicable legal measures to dismiss the freezing of its accounts and as soon as the situation is back to normal, all of its financial commitments will be fulfilled. The company apologizes for any inconvenience, particularly to its employees and suppliers, and stresses that the actions for regularization of payments unfortunately are out of its hands.
