The supply of mineral water in Itueta, Minas Gerais, will be suspended next Monday, February 1, with the exception of the rural area of the municipality, which will continue to be assisted.
The measure will not bring impacts to residents, since the water for the city is collected from the Manhuaçu River with tanker trucks, and water from artesian wells. These sources were not impacted by the accident of the dam. Furthermore, the water made available for the population is treated by Copasa and is within potability standards.
