The agreement for the temporary suspension of employment contracts was approved today by Samarco employees in union meetings held in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo.
The measure aims at maintaining current jobs, and providing compensatory assistance and benefits as foreseen in collective labor agreements. During this period, the employees will participate in professional skills development courses to be offered by Samarco. Their participation in these courses assures them of a training stipend, which together with the compensatory financial assistance paid by Samarco, is expected to maintain the level of net wages normally earned by the employees.
