Aware of the coronavirus pandemic and the risks of its spread in Brazil, Samarco has established preventive health guidelines for this scenario.
In order to reduce the flow of people in its units, over the next 14 days employees and contractors engaged in administrative activities, employees over 60 and pregnant women will work from home. The other professionals, whose presence is needed in the units, will adopt staggered work hours.
Visitation to the units is restricted, and national and international travel is suspended.
In addition, preventive measures was intensified, as well as the cleaning of common areas and equipment.
Samarco will continue to closely follow the developments and will adopt new measures if needed.
