Last week, some 60 students from Bento Rodrigues, Paracatu de Baixo and Barra Longa celebrated the end of the school year The graduation ceremonies were sponsored by Samarco. In Mariana, the Company prepared two events, with the presence of the students and their families. The events took place at Casa do Lago and included mass and a party, according to the plans outlined by each teaching institution. The graduation of the students from Paracatu de Baixo had the special participation of the community choir, which had received new musical instruments from Samarco.
In Barra Longa, the 30 students who graduated from high school had their graduation on 18 December, in the event hall of the Escola Estadual Padre José Epifânio Gonçalves. This school was refurbished by the Company after the accident. Samarco also supplied the decoration for the event.
