On June 10th and 11th, Gesteira residents and students visited the terrains where the new community will possibly be rebuilt. Besides eight houses, a church, a parish hall and a football field will also be built.
The two identified areas, known as Macacos and Sr. Clécio, are located near the district’s central block, meeting a request from the community. During the visit, the residents received a booklet with the site’s technical studies. It is expected that the voting process takes place by the end of June, with the participation of all families.
Paracatu
Until June 16th, the families of Paracatu, a Mariana sub-district, are also getting to know the three possible areas for the reconstruction of the community. Located at a radius of up to 5 km from the old Paracatu and 36 km from the center of Mariana, the terrains know as Joel, Toninho and Lucilla have been selected according to the criteria established by the residents. The voting process in order to choose one of these locations is planned for early July.
