In 2019, Samarco completes its 42nd anniversary. Throughout its history, the company has sought to overcome challenges and evolve from learning, always guided by its values — respect for people, integrity, mobilization for results and safety. And that is reason to celebrate.
This past year, the Alegria Sul Pit has been prepared, progress has been made to obtain the Corrective Operational Licensing (LOC), activities for the implementation of the filtration system have begun, and employees are dedicated to fulfilling the operational readiness steps. Actions aimed at new levels of efficiency and safety have been implemented and the first edition of the MinerALL Challenge is underway, promoting the transformation of tailing technologies into business opportunities.
Samarco believes that rethinking mining means continuing to invest in new ideas. And, each of our achievements shows that it is possible to contribute to a new way of mining.
