Samarco will participate in the Global Action event in Mariana, on May 21st (Saturday), at the Mariana Arena, in the Colina neighborhood, from 10am to 4pm. The initiative is free of charge and is held across the country by Rede Globo in partnership with SESI.
At Samarco’s tent will be offered, among other activities, a short-term workshop on ceramics, led by artist Gêra Queiroga. Participants will learn about the stages of the production process and clay’s application for pottery making and to create artistic objects, also learning how to manipulate the raw material.
Since January, in partnership with SESI Minas and the Mariana Citty Hall, Samarco has been conducting an agenda with leisure and culture activities for the whole Mariana community.

Held annually since 1995, Global Action has benefited more than 12.4 million people and has provided 26 million services across Brazil as a result of Rede Globo and SESI’s joint efforts, alongside volunteers and partner institutions in this great citizenship event.
