From the first moment, Samarco mobilized all of its available resources, human and financial, to cope with the emergencies and seek solutions to minimize the socioenvironmental impacts resulting from the accident with the dam. Currently, over 600 Company employees are engaged in different work fronts in Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, focused on helping families with their housing and other needs, rescuing and taking care of animals, assuring water supply and monitoring water quality. This work is being carried in a transparent manner and involves constant dialogue with the city administrations and competent authorities.
